If the phrase "a gentleman's gentlemen" makes sense then Kent would be "a Benchie's Benchie." No offense Kent but he might have been the single worse b-ball player in the bunch and he had the stats to back it up. Kent managed to go the entire season without scoring any points. I know, it seems impossible but if you ever saw him shoot a basketball it would all make sense. Kent's talent or there lack of did not go unrewarded. He was proudly given the first and only Benchie of the Year award. Kent went on to star in football and wrestling but obviously he was born to be a Benchie. After spending a season with his fellow Benchies Kent decided to go into the ministry. Truly a case of cause and effect.

Two year All American at Duke, second round draft pick in ’81, Bulls for six years, all pro in ’87. What!???!!! Are you calling me a liar!!????

Favorite memory as a Benchie?
Getting the trophy at the end of the season for scoring ZERO points in a season. Are you really calling ME a liar??? Come on Jon…if you don’t print this I’m going to spill the beans about you and Mrs. Radke.

Family status, kids, jobs, life highlights, years on parole, etc:
Married for 32 years to Kay (I really out-kicked my punt coverage when I married her!!!), two sons Gabe (28 married with 2 kids) and Joel (24 single on an 11 month 11 country mission trip). Pastor for almost 30 years (Are you calling me a liar?!) Pretty well peaked in ’71 – it’s been down hill since.
